Overview

Grand Circle Foundation, a sister company of Grand Circle Travel, has been giving back to communities around the world since 1992. The foundation donates time and resources to a number of causes but primarily focuses on clean water, education, cultural and historic preservation, and land preservation. While support for the organization was generally strong, their old website was dated, tough to navigate, and didn’t adequately showcase the good that the organization does in the world or the profound experiences that their travelers have. Stout Heart created a website for Grand Circle that brought the emotional connection of traveling to the surface.

Drawing inspiration from the scrappy, on-the-go nature of travel journals, the design of the site captures the charm of traveling and the feeling of memories. The aesthetic uses images stylized like polaroids, hand-drawn elements, stickers, and much more. Aside from the design, the content of the site was organized to be more linear in telling the story of who Grand Circle is and what they do, while making it quick and easy for users to donate.
